Friends and family members can send funds to an incarcerated person so they can make phone calls, access entertainment, and purchase items at the commissary.
Requirements
Electronic deposits
You must use a credit or debit card to deposit funds for an incarcerated person. Funds are deposited through GettingOut.
You can also deposit up to $500 a day into an incarcerated person’s account using the kiosks in the lobby of prison facilities.
Money orders and certified checks
Mail containing money orders and certified checks for incarcerated people must be sent directly to the incarcerated person’s facility.
Money orders and certified checks sent to a person who is incarcerated require:
- The address of the facility they are in.
- The incarcerated person’s ID number.
Use the following format to address your mail:

Personal checks and cash
Personal checks and cash are not accepted.
Refund Requests
Send in a written refund request to the following mailing address if you would like a refund for funds deposited into an incarcerated person’s account. Please include the facility name the incarcerated person was located in, along with their PPN#/ID number.
