The Department of Public Health responds to complaints about rats in residences, businesses, and outdoors.

Report rat infestations by calling (215) 685-9000 or emailing health.vector@phila.gov.

Report rats if you see them:

• Inside or outside your home.
• On your block or street.
• In a public park.

Inspectors from the Department of Public Health will investigate the site and provide treatment if it is accessible. We make recommendations to property owners and residents to eliminate rats.

We do not have a service for mice inside homes. Please contact us for more information that may be useful in controlling these pests.
