You need a permit to hold a wedding ceremony or to take wedding, engagement, or other professional photos on Philadelphia Parks & Recreation property.
Popular locations include:
- Fairmount Water Works Eagle Pavilion – round gazebo with eagle statue on top.
- FDR Park Boathouse.
- The Azalea Garden.

You may apply for a permit by mail or email parksandrecevents@phila.gov.
Allow at least 14 days for approval.

The office is open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Before your visit:
- Check the Special Events Office entry in the Parks & Rec Finder to make sure the office is open. The office closes for Federal, State, and City holidays, and other reasons.
- Make sure you have all your paperwork and payment information.
